Australia’s Today Tonight covers Scientology conviction in France, Tommy Davis’ storming off the Nightline set and Paul Haggis leaving Scientology.
Awesome report. Australia certainly does it right. Ive been sitting here in the UK and so far havent seen any report on the tv though ive been told there has been some news on the national telly. Oh well im sure the papers would have reported it.
Keep it up
Those Australians are such sensible people.
Scientology MUST change. They must stop overcharging for services including ones delivered by Applied Scholastics. They must stop the hard-sell approach. They REALLY must stop the disconnection policy which is a typical control mechanism, similar to the disfellowshipping of an even more sinister cult the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They must stop treating Hubbard as a demi-God and most of all, this problem with bogus rank awarding and Slappy and Yappy Miscavige.Slappy MUST be demoted for his touchy-feely approach to leadership!
Rulah!
The Scientology cult must be stopped completely or completely changed and revamped in the way they do things. Their so called “spiritual” processes such as auditing and training routines are nothing but clever ways of mind control and hypnosis disguised as counseling and communication improvement courses.
Auditing is at the core of their indoctrination process and it does alter the mind, making people susceptible to suggestion. When auditing is applied with the other indoctrination processes used by the cult, it is VERY strong form of mind control.
Tell me how this can be a good thing when it is in a non-scientific or uncontrolled environment? It isn’t! Scientologists put their lives in the hands of poorly trained and mostly poorly educated “auditors” who assist the cult in extracting the most money out of their followers as possible.
Why do they try to extract so much money? Because it’s the only way for them to KSW (keep scientology working) by massive advertising campaigns and events, as well as paying off politicians in the form of campaign contributions, and to harass critics of the scientology cult. Oh; not to mention, the money is also lining the pockets of the leader David Miscavige and his wife Shelly.
Regretably, low-level, low-key celebrity desertions, spokespeople fumbling through interviews and criminal convictions that are pending appeals, isn’t sufficent to cause a freefall of Scientology’s structure.
Scientology, as most of you know, is divided into two major groups: Public and Staff. The staff are largely unable to break free, being watched and worked long hours and with little or no money or oppourtunity to leave.
Public Scientologists are the glue that holds this cult together. Without money flowing in from this group most, if not all, of the senior Scientology administrators will call it quits. The loss of of these people will cause the organization to rapidly fall apart, not even Moscavige can micromanage without underlings to beat and harass.
The more public members that leave the more inside information gets out severely affecting recruitment and revenue, which when collected often goes to legal and marketing costs. No money means no lawyers and no ads, effectively neutralizing their smear campaigns and deceptive, glossy promotions.
Until there are sheep in the world, we’ll do our business: shearing.
