who really ownes the cult? not rtc, not david miscavage. it is ron’s lawyer: the sea zombies are just doing their job of creating problems for people, that results in law suits for the church, and that means billable hours for ron’s old lawyer. the old shyster is just converting church assets into billable hours. the old shyster is the puppet master and we are the puppets.
When Miscavige’s mafia goons and war chest succeeded in taking the IRS down on it’s knees, it was a major message of defeat to any hope of justice. While the tax exempt status was a cherry on top, it was not the objective. It was religious status. This was the impact: governments and politicians would now be hesitant to approach for fear of religious bigotry accusations on top of their history of litigious, and malicious attacks, and likely their worst fear of Scn’s PI’s and exposing even the slightest of imperfections to actual transgressions of critics.
It’s so easy to critize and condemn those who have not gone to the authorities, without being in their shoes. It is very much like going against a gulag, or mafia, or the insurance industry, or, well, you get the idea.
The good news is Miscavige can’t control himself from committing crimes and abuse. He is a product of Scientology “tech” and that tech promotes people to the top with the same destructive impulses and mental illness of Hubbard. There was never any other outcome than what is happening now.
And now means thousands are speaking out with little less to lose, or unwilling to stand by and see their loved ones abused. All of this was inevitable. Madoff topped Slatkin for ripoffs, but Scientology will go down in history as not only the greatest scam in history, but also the most despicable human rights abuse just one notch under Hitler.
I agree with Graham, that the internet will end Scientology.
For people who are interested in Scientology, it’ll be finding out about Xenu, in advance of paying thousands of dollars for that top secret baloney. The Xenu story has no deep spiritual significance, other than it being a sign a member is fully brainwashed and will believe everything and anything Hubbard wrote.
For people considering working for the cult, it’ll be finding out about people’s experiences in the RPF or the career dead end it is for so many who stay.
I maybe a bit of a fire brand on some of my post, but every and any effort to defeat the global scam should be rewarded as long as it’s legal. I know if I criticized (probable typo) my church there isn’t going to be a lawyer at my door. A song goes like this: Ding dong Hubbard’s dead, Hubbard’s dead, the evil con is dead! Ding dong Scientolgy is dead, Scientology is dead, Scientology is dead! David is done, David is done, David is done! (Warch around and repeat.)
Where it says Warch that is a typo. I meant to say March Around and Repeat the verse.
