Kirstie Alley’s New Series

I want to like Kirstie. I really do. I thought she was terrific on Cheers. She stepped into a show that was at its peak and replaced a character that was nearly iconic and she more than held her own. She was funny. And let’s face it, she was Lt. freaking Saavik in Wrath of Khan. How can I not like her?
This is how. She has another series revolving around her weight that just looks painful.
It sucks to see her going the Anna Nicole Smith route. I wish her well with the weight-loss. I’m working on that myself right now. But I’d rather she stop making that her identity. She’d be better off taking a dramatic part that doesn’t address her weight at all. Just be a good actress and shed pounds as you can.
I miss the old Kirstie Alley, when she was attractive, and not a brainwashed cult member.
That, Ironhead was when she had skills. Now she is a parody of herself. Then she did herself the disfavor of becoming a Scilon. Scilons are destroying her acting abilities. She needs to watch some Xenu T.V.
hmmmmm… I hope she is happy… I really do… I also hope that she will wake up… I think John Travolta is a wonderful guy too… I really do… Co$ is such a con… What pisses me off is that it only takes an honest willingness to help… and… POOF!… you’re in a CULT! Darwin was so right when he implied that life is not fair. DM is next.
Kirstie, that’s just awful :/
What intrigues me about all these celebrities in the Church of Scatology is that many have been members for decades and spent wads of money on auditing/training/rundowns/etc. and supposedly reached various OT levels.
Yet, I don’t see anything their character, their behavior, their actions or their lives in general that would indicate they have any special insight or knowledge or spiritual connection – at least not any more special or “deep” than mine and most reasonably intelligent people.
One would think that all of Kirstie’s auditing and training would preclude her from letting her weight get out of control in the first place. People who run to eating and suffering the consequential state of obesity (inflating and deflating), doesn’t make this behavior any less a symptom of them trying to fill a void through food addiction – just because they’re Scientologists.
All I’ve seen and heard and learned from Scientologists is a buttload of specious claims with respect to “the creation of human ability and special operating thetan powers” through “the tech”, etc. I’ve never seen it actually work or be in any way apparent regarding the supposedly freeing of the thetan from the MEST trap. They blimp out, they smoke, they’re nauseatingly materialistic, they do conspicuous humanitarian work when they’re ensure it will receive media coverage. As much as I like John Travolta as a person, the vast majority of his films are rife with sex, violence, profanity and even disturbing perverse content on occasion. Why aren’t you out saving the world, John? If you had used some stealth when you flew your jumbo jet to Haiti bringing supplies I would have felt is was out of altruism
instead of a conspicuous promotion for what a humanitarian organization the CO$ supposedly is. NOT!
The person who sucked me into the cult had spent $500,000 over 25 years in Scientology on auditing and TR’s and various “rundowns” including the newly developed “blow them all at once” False Purpose Rundown that is supposed to erase all the false purposes of a thetan’s many lives all way back in time to the prototypic event.
I began to see the true nature of “operating thetans” when this long time Scientolgist couldn’t even do a simple assist on me to relieve a headache. A major awakening for me came when this cult member (a real estate agent) found a house I was interested in but I felt the price was too high so I requested this person to offer the seller several thousand dollars less than what was being asked for.
The agent/Scientologist, to my utter amazement, told me to pay the seller the asking price. Like an idiot, against my intuition and better judgement, I followed the directive. Not long after I purchased the property I found out that the agent/Scientologist was actually representing the seller – not me- and, of course, the seller didn’t know that I was being double-agented. The agenda, of course, of this shady agent was to get a commission on the higher (supposedly non-negotiable) sale price.
When I confronted this person on the phone after finding out I had been manipulated in the negotiations so this person could get a bigger commission, this person instantly snapped into “attack” mode – automatically utilizing every TR trick she had learned over the many years of her brainwashing by the CO$ – yet, since I had learned TR’s also, I handled the onslaught – especially the viscous unrelenting screaming phrases over and over in a final desperation attempt to introvert and leave me enturbulated. Nothing this person did was successful. We both hung up trying to introvert the other.
I made an official complained to the State Board of Realtors about what this “out-ethics” scumbag did and they forced this person to pay me half the difference between what the seller was asking and my counter offer. This person’s real estate license would have been revoke if there wasn’t compliance.
I really don’t care about Kirstie Alley’s weight problem. It’s just another case that is evidence LRH’s “religion” and concomitant tech puts members out on a high wire to nowhere – not a bridge to freedom.
Excuse me while I go to the sink and wretch.
Kirstie is one of the Scientology’s biggest contradictions.
All those years as a Scientologists (20+ years now isn’t it?), all the millions of dollars invested, and yet Scientology can’t seem to do a damn thing about this OTVII’s severe weight problem. That’s not to mention her mental state, which I hear isn’t too great these days.
Mark, I wish I had it in me to like Kristie Alley, or even to sympathize with her. I find her to show an arrogance untempered by good manners or sympathy for others. I know her only from her media appearances– I hate to think of what she would be like in person. As with many Scientologists a smirk has burned into her face, which seems to say that she knows something that I don’t, something which I would readily except if I were smarter. The story crediting Scientology with getting her off heroin is laughable in the context of her inability to lose weight. If she sees the irony of this she certainly hasn’t gone public. I wish her no malice about her inability to lose the pounds– half of America is struggling with that. But many manage to do it without claiming to control MEST.
Hey Hubert: You admit that You have been burned by Co$… I heard you before. Those bastards got me too for a while. After all those years, Kirstie is still in their relentless clutches. What gets me is that these days, more than ever, the full information about the cult is flowing like wind and water, and yet these ‘celebrities’ still cling to their manipulators!! Really boils my blood… I steam – seethe in the terminal night… Co$ will burn by my hand.
This show will be so boring. How did she think of this. Um she didn’t think.
Just about her, who cares!!
I used to like her too. I loved her in “for better or worse”. I even loved her in that film where she played a screwed up foster mother and she was big in that made for tv thing. So who the hell cares if she’s fat. The weight she needs to lose is that stinking cult. Shake off the cult, Kristie. You’ll probably lose tons.
She used to look divine.
Now she looks LIKE Divine (for any familiar with John Waters’ movies)
and why would someone trade heroin for Scientology?
Absurd.
The sad thing is that her belief in Scientology prevents her from the one thing that could help her deal with her self-image problems and her apparent mood swings: psychotherapy.
Tom and Katie (plus Suri and Connor) and Travolta were at the Super Bowl yesterday. hmm, I wonder who paid for them to be there?
If Kristy Alley really wanted enlightenment, all she need do is ask. I’d give her free wisdom. I’m cheaper than a Scientology course and more than twice as enlightening. Wise Beard Man can help her as well for the low price of free. Oh, Hell, even St. Thommas Aquinas can help her out for less than $13.95. And as a promotional offer, we’ll help her blow the cult and lose weight. We’ll even throw in a session with a low cost psychiatrist and it’ll still be cheaper than Scientology. All she has to do is ask and that goes for Travolta too, Tom is too far gone to be helped.
5 episodes max. I see this more to be A&E’s Big Waist of Money (pun intended). Another attempt by a D- list celeb to make ends meet. And how much of her income from this will go to Co$ to keep others in the “hole” that much longer before the collapse?
wow she’s fat
Kirsty = Dumbass.
Cocaine kept her skinny way back when. Scientology re-hab cleared her up. Big bucks later, shes a fat dumb-ass trying to fill her bank account again with a stupid TV show. Guess Sci-fi tology dont work so well.
Wonder what Top Gun Cruise would have to say about it?
Maybe Travolta could give us some wisdome here.
Maybe Kirsty needs to go back to Ethics class for a while. $$$$$$
Gotta make some money first mind you. Its gonna cost big bucks to get back to a clear mind and a clear body.
FAIL!
If she made a show about leaving the cult of $cientology I’d watch that.
i think Kirsty should go to Flag and do the Conditions. If that does not work out, go to the Freewinds. See if the Conditions work better there.
Tom Cruise and Kristy Alley should serve as warnings to avoid Scientology. It made them stupider. What Kristy needs is a major epiphany like the kind Will and Paul had. She needs to learn that: Arrogance has been the downfall of many. Then I can teach her that: A person who makes others feel worthless is worth less than the others. Then lesson two which is: Do not be Stupid, leave Scientology.
Kristy Alley was lying on the beach after successfully finishing Scientology’s course “Get Fat Fast”, when Greenpeace’s boat came and pulled her back to the ocean.
“Be gone evil fat thetan” ! I shall move you off with my superior mind control. …..Opssss…is that a donut ?
I’m sure six months on the RPF would skinny her right up!
OK, leaving aside the fact that LRH was purported to be able to change his body size at will…
Kirstie is just another idiotic actress. Talented? Sure. Boisterous? Absolutely. But the idea that ANYONE would use the endorsement of an actor as a reason to join a political/environmental/religious movement is just lazy thinking. I mean, you’re talking about people whose biggest (and often only) talent is the ability to “make believe”. They are not the sorts of people who are engaged in critical thinking, or scientific enquiry.
Her argument was always that one auditing session ended her cocaine abuse. For Travolta, it helped him pass flight exams and become a pilot. Of course, you have to wonder why they achieved nothing else as a result of 20 years of auditing. Alley could have paid a psyche half as much for counseling and gotten the same result (getting off cocaine) without promises that she would have super powers.
Scientology = Sci-epic-fail.

Oh c’mon ‘Knights of Anonymous’… You’re just jealous…
I saw Kristie Alley at Natures Food Patch in Clearwater. She had brown eyes. What’s up with that? Does she wear contact lenses?
thanks for expressing exactly how we feel Hubert Rauber whoever you are..
all out love
nate and mona
could we be any more done …
She’s not supposed to wear contacts–OT VIIs are not supposed to be nearsighted. But then, Heber Jentzsch wears glasses…

She is so fat that you’ve got to take out special insurance before getting on top of her.
She’s not fat she just has 1,000,0000 fat theatens clinging to her. Plus the camera adds about 1,000 theatens
Hilarious piss take out of Tom Cruise:

There is no link to Scientology here -whatsoever-. Just because she is a member of Scientology you are obsessed with her. You have a Scientology fetisjism.
If she wasn’t so stupid as to be taken in by the Cult, we wouldn’t poke fun at her. She’s supposed to have alleged super powers. Ella no es una Super Poderosa, Ella es una Idiota grande y pendeja mas estupida. I don’t care to translate that. Remember Cartman’s song: Kristie is a big fat bitch, the biggest bitch in the whole wide world…
I’m sorry for the foul language, but you get my point.
anybody read her latest twitter rants? somebody needs an intervention….
Does anyone know why all references to Scientology have been removed from all celebrity profiles (trivia and biography) on IMDB.com?
I’m not bothered about her weight. I mean, good for her to still be getting work in looks-obsessed Hollywood. But I agree, you don’t want to get yourself typecast as someone who’s overweight.
In fact, is it me, or do the major celebrity spokespeople of Scientology suffer once the organisation really starts using them for promotion?
Tom Cruise – jumping on couches, making nutty videos for Scientology, becomes known as an obsessive nutjob as a result.
John Travolta – Battlefield Earth nuff sed.
Kirsty Alley – seemingly can’t do a series that isn’t about her own physical issues.
L. Ron Hubbard – Starts out as a popular and capable pulp writer who invents the suspense thriller, invents Scientology, then when he starts writing again Battlefield Earth nuff sed.

An update–Kirstie has started her own (expensive) weight loss company (without FDA approval, of course). Sounds like a Co$ front group.
Having been through serious weight gain (and subsequent loss) myself, I do really feel for this woman despite the cult nonsense and evidently disordered personality. She’s brought dislike on herself–but over and over, people focus almost entirely on her appearance. It feels really, really BAD to be treated with contempt because of your looks. Believe me–fat women already feel bad, defeated, despised, and de-sexed enough without such bullying. By all means, take her on, but about the real stuff: the diet scam and the cult. I’m no fan of hers, but I must say it depresses me every time I see a Kirstie Alley thread full of such petty and sexist attacks.
