The Probate Court Denies Scientology Motion February 5, 2000 Scientology tried very hard to convince the court that Dell Liebreich had no right to sue the church claiming she had forged Fannie McPherson's name to several legal documents. The judge wisely ruled against the church.
Scientology's handwriting expert Scientology brought in a handwriting expert who spent an enormous amount of time comparing various samples of Fannie McPherson's signature from legal documents in this case. In the end, the judge didn't buy his testimony.

What the judge didn't allow into evidence would have instantly blown all of Scientology's long winded arguments out of the water. The handwriting expert was saying that Fannie McPherson was too weak to sign all the papers as she did. Ken Dandar wanted to show a piece of a German interview with Fannie conducted the day after the signing, and a few days before her death, to show Fannie's actual condition.
